JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

This VIE is a great opportunity for a 1st work experience rich in learnings, at the boundary of new hype technology and marketing.

Exposure to New Business Development in a dynamic environment at the center of the Saint-Gobain research and development, in the Boston, USA area.

 

Projects integrated around 2 technology trends:

3D printing and Flexible electronic printing

Mission is to evaluate and conceptualize the introduction of such advanced technologies in today’s legacy high performance plastic/polymer business. Seals.Saint-Gobain.com

Intense technology learning

Learn internally basics on technology. Gather Marketing intelligence (Literature, conference...).Transcript players and competitor landscape. Scout for new trends and new technology. Find examples of commercial success with the introduction of such technologies in similar industries. Be educated on the Seals business products, manufacturing and market of focus. Be the point of contact for the organization regarding the technology questions/remarks. Investigate a defined number of areas of interest

 

Internal Marketing survey

Create a survey process and content (format, timeline, ..). Deploy survey internally through sales, engineering, operations… Collect opinions and map potential opportunities. Create market of focus and select minimum of specific case studies. Create a study case by collecting needs and parts requirement. Down select case studies based on preliminary investigation.

 

External Marketing survey

Identity and connect with customer pool where study case could be applicable. Create and deploy survey based on a blue printing methodology. Capture customer interest and needs

 

Technology enabling and business case

Benchmarked existing technologies and select the most adapted. Enable technology, by developing prototyping and showcasing specific benefits. Develop customer prototyping internally or collaborate externally. Develop 1st level of business case (parts cost, profitability,..). Step back and provide recommendation and guidelines for expanding or stopping activity.

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong analytical skills to define, analyze, transcripts technical data and problems

  • Enjoy being closed to final products and challenge status quo, learning and working fast, establishing collaboration with external players, thriving for excellence and overcoming challenging journey

  • Strong individual contributor, self-sufficient, with capacity to work in team and progress outside of his/her comfort zone

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Prefered MBA in Marketing with experience in technical products and/or showing high level of interest or internship record in new technology fields

  • Or Engineer diploma with a 1st additional Marketing background or experience(s) (MBA, internships, ..)

  • With 1st Experience/Example in Entrepreneurship

  • Fluent in English
